Recycle, Reduce, and Reuse First, we read the book called Wump World by Bill Pete
As we read the story Wump World, the students made a connection to our world. We are very much like the poputians. The poputians pollute the air, water land, and noise. After reading the story, the students created a foldable. The foldable was labeled air, water, land, and noise. The students under each flap compared the wumps world to ours. The story lead us to the discussion of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. We discussed each of this words and recorded our ideas.
Reduce- less energy and garbage (turning off the lights, turning off the water as we bush our teeth)
Reuse- Use items again (shoe boxes, Newspaper, etc.)
Recycle- Turn used items into another useful item (paper, newspaper, bottles, etc.)
